We are zoologists. Researching animals and presenting our findings.

Giraffes are finding out about animal groups and today, we were researching mammals. They each chose a different British-mammal to research. We found out their gestation periods vary quite a bit.      Their life expectancy varied too. We also looked at how they change during different stages of their life. Here we are researching facts and photos. We chose how we wanted to present our findings. I am looking forward to reading your reports, Giraffes. Guiness World Record Attempt

Image
Yesterday morning we were part of something really exciting- a Guinness world record attempt! We joined children from around the country, Katy’s from Strictly Come Dancing and Baez Wynter from TT Rockstars to take part in an attempt to beat the most views of a rolling numbers livestream.  We all went into the hall for 9.30am when the stream started and then took part in a little dance and rolling numbers chant. The previous record was only just over 1000 and yesterday we beat it to make it over 5000!  What a fantastic thing to take part in!

Fabulous Year 6s

Image
Year 6s have had another busy week. (We had a few tests to do, but no biggie!) As usual, t here has been plenty of time for fun activities.  Here they are having time with friends and Lego. They had such a lovely time, they came back for extra Lego club time at lunchtime. They had a fun Forest School session with Miss Furness yesterday. After we had finished our work today, Y6 enjoyed hot chocolate (with the obligatory marshmallows) and yummy chocolate cake.  Well done Y6s. We are all really proud of you.

We are scientists!. Living things in the environment

As part of their new topic in Science, Giraffes studied areas of the school grounds looking for evidence of Living things. How lucky are we having such fabulous grounds to explore!
