Morning lovelies, hope everyone is ok. Have you all managed to find the week 2 continuation of learning in your files? Well done to those of you who logged into MyMaths, TT Rockstars and Read Theory yesterday.  Would love to see more of your work. Don't forget you all have 3 pieces of writing to be working on too and you can type those up and email them to me or get your patents to scan them in. Today I want you to tell me what your favourite part of the last week has been? Mine has been having lots of time to read- I think Maisie might agree with me there! As promised, here is Emily's edited and improved story, The Mystery. I am sure she would love your comments and constructive feedback on it but otherwise enjoy!   The Mystery Suddenly, the silence was shattered by a loud scream! What was that?   I leaped back as fast as I could and that’s when I heard a high-pitch shriek. I didn’t know what to do , I was panicking whilst breathing deeply. Shaking with fear I hid behind a big tree - that was twice the size of me- waiting cautiously to see if I heard that noise again. And I did but only once. I gasped because it sounded like a young girl. What is happening? Why is a girl screaming? Or was this even a girl? I’m meant to be at a school trip in the country. As it was quite boring , I ran off into the deep, dark woods . That’s how I got here . I put on foot on the entrance to the cave then all of a sudden, the weather changed dramatically. I flung my foot off and looked with fear on my face . It was getting

Happy Saturday guys! Just wanted to say well done for a good week of home learning and now enjoy a couple of days to play and have fun. Would still love some photos of what you have been up to and feel free to comment on here still but other than that have a great weekend :-)

Good morning guys! Hope everyone is well, we have made it to the end of the first week of your home learning and well done to those of you that have been on TT Rockstars, MyMaths and Read Theory. Well done for doing your topic and Maths work and for generally being amazing! I have dropped the continuation of learning plans for next week into your personal files on the google drive. If your parents have forgotten the log on just ask and I'll re-send it. Don't forget to send me pictures of how you are getting on, I haven't had any since Monday :-(. Here's a little picture of Willow looking very comfortable last night.  For those of you who have parents on Facebook, Chester zoo are doing a live stream virtual zoo day today where you get to see the animals from the comfort of your own home. We hope you have been extra kind to your mums today and they loved the cards you made in school this week. Happy Mother’s Day!

We have been asked by the Lovely lunch company which is the best material to keep our lunch cool for a couple of hours. Here we are testing thermal insulators.

We had an amazing day at Poole's Cavern and Buxton Library. There were so many beautiful crystals at the cavern and we recommend a day there. We loved the poached egg crystal formations. In the afternoon we went to the library where we designed our own library cards and did a book treasure hunt. We loved looking at the huge variety of books. We would give this trip 5 stars!

Today we took part in our two hour readathon. It was great fun and we loved reading together. Can you spot the real bookworms in Giraffe class?
