The Giraffes were fantastic yesterday! Their attitudes and effort made us so proud. We had a brilliant morning with children competing in various track and field events against four other schools. Lots of children won their events as well as many 2nd and 3rd places too. As we were the only small school that entered, we were competing against schools which a much larger pool of children in those year groups. We were delighted to come fourth place overall but managed to gain a place in the final on 22nd March in the small schools category!

Five ways to Wellbeing

For Children’s Mental Health Week 2023, the Mental Health Ambassadors are encouraging everyone to connect with others in healthy, rewarding and meaningful ways.   When we have healthy connections – to family, friends and others – this can support our mental health and our sense of wellbeing. By spreading the word about mental health, we can help to build understanding of children’s mental health – and the different ways we can support young people. This morning, as part of Mental Health week our Mental Health Ambassadors did an assembly for the school all about the Five ways to wellbeing. They shared what they had learnt and discussed at the Health Champions workshop and also led their own yoga session.
