We were excited to see our t ents. Luckily, they are spacious (room for six) as some of us have brought a lot of luggage! It was quite hot inside. After some time to unpack, there was time to relax, play and explore the sports hall, games room and the adjoining field - perfect for a game of football! After all that activity, we were ready for tea - a lovely roast. Our evening activity was another opportunity to use our map reading skills - a walk in the evening sunshine. There were lots of cows in adjoining fields, which were thoroughly analysed by our knowledgeable farmers! When we got back we had hot chocolate and it was time for bed.

Many historians debate whether the Yellow Emperor, and the later Xia Dynasty, ever existed. Some believe that their stories are legends that paint a picture of the perfect king, warn against corrupt leadership and explain the origins of the Chinese dynasties. Others believe that they actually existed and archaeological finds could provide the proof. We explored these ancient legends together through drama.
