VE Day

Good morning, it is VE Day today. Can anyone tell me what VE day is about? 

I have seen some houses decorated up ready for the celebrations, if you have decorated your house I would love to see it.

Aidan and Dylan were busy again yesterday making a circuit with a blue light and a siren which they used at 8PM during the NHS Clap for Carers. Well done boys, what a great idea!

    Is VE day when they stopped World War Two, seventy five years ago? I forgot what it stands for, is it something like Victory for England? I am very exited to do the creature work! Bye guys and happy VE day!

    Morning Miss B, how are you doing? We had a barbercue yesterday and it was so much fun!! I had a cabab, chicken and some sausegars with mayanase it was lovely!!!

    She wouldn't come back to my Grandma!!?!??
    And because I went on my trampoline Daisy jumped on to it so I trapped her in with me, but she tried to rip the net, and she kept on steeling my shoe, and choeing it!!!

 After arriving at the centre, we dropped off the bags and the bus drove us down to the reservoir. Using our map reading skills we had a lovely walk back to Whitehall. Enjoying a welcome snack break, we listened and watched out for curlews, skylarks, blackbirds, buzzards and crickets.  We spotted many wild flowers too.

Adventurous activity 1: Let's try abseiling

For our first activity, we headed back towards Taddington and the Monsal Trail at Millers Dale - familiar territory for us. We exchanged tales of walking, cycling and pony rides down the trail.  None of us have abseiled before, so we're not quite sure what to expect. We listened carefully before getting our harnesses on.  The instructor checked we were all safely buckled up and ready to go. Hmm...some slightly worried looks.  Here we go. Who's brave enough to go first? The bridge over the River Wye is 80 feet high and the first challenge is to climb over the railings.  We did it!  Now we can relax.
