Wednesday 13th May

Happy Wednesday my lovelies, how is everyone today? 

I am looking forward to catching up with some more of you on the phone today, been lovely to chat. 

Another reminder about Read Theory and My Maths. Also I have only seen one piece of writing from last week, I am eager to read how your animals came to be.

Thanks to Emily for the really cute lambs pictures she sent over yesterday, would love to see pictures of anything you've been up to. 

TT Rockstars at 10am again, even though you can't see me I am there and can see who is playing so come and have a game.

    Miss B, when I was at my daddys house I made a Elephant out of clay. It was a bit hard to make bc when it dried the head and the tale came of, so my daddy put some Gorilla glue on it. I can send a photo of my creation I made. Everyone when I put that picture up don't make fun of me, PWEESE

Team swing

 Having spent the morning underground, we avoided the worst of the weather and most of the group were reasonably dry as we headed back to the centre.  After lunch we were lucky that the rain wasn't too heavy and we go t kitted out for the team swing. We had seen this in action yesterday, so we had a good idea what to expect.  Some of us were excited by this; others, not so much! Teamwork We needed the trolley to get the 2 people into position. Everyone had to pull the rope to hoist up the swing.  We were really good at this, so we had time for 2 goes each.  After 2 goes, out came the trolley again to swap over to the next pair. Here we are before and during our swing. Zooming in on the action... I think you could say there was a mixed reaction! Everyone pushed themselves to their limit ... and then a bit more.  A great activity.

Night walk

After tea, we finished making our beds and got ready for our final activity: the night walk.  We had a stop near Dethick Church. Finding out about the history of this ancient building.  Spotting wild flowers. Which way do we need to go?  Weve done it! One action- packed day complete.  We've walked 17000 steps today. Hopefully, this means we will all sleep well tonight...

High ropes

 After lunch we got harnesses and helmets on, ready for the high ropes. Some of the children were really looking forward to this activity; others were not! We were in four teams of four and we had to work together to make sure our climbing team-mate was safe.
