Wednesday 6th May

Good morning my lovely giraffes, hope everyone is well this morning. 

It is looking like another lovely day so I hope you get outside and enjoy the sunshine.

Thank you for all the wonderful pictures and videos I have had so far this week and please keep them coming. I genuinely love to see what you have been up to. 

I will be on TT Rockstars again at 10am for anyone who can join. Would be amazing to get most of our giraffes on there for a tournament.

    Good morning everyone, how are you doing lately? My mums birthday was last month and me,Charlie,Mum and our dog Pepper went on a picnic. Pepper was rolling around in the grass and she was even eating mud!!! Welp I have to go soooo.....year SL!!

Welcome to Whitehall

 After arriving at the centre, we dropped off the bags and the bus drove us down to the reservoir. Using our map reading skills we had a lovely walk back to Whitehall. Enjoying a welcome snack break, we listened and watched out for curlews, skylarks, blackbirds, buzzards and crickets.  We spotted many wild flowers too.

Adventurous activity 1: Let's try abseiling

For our first activity, we headed back towards Taddington and the Monsal Trail at Millers Dale - familiar territory for us. We exchanged tales of walking, cycling and pony rides down the trail.  None of us have abseiled before, so we're not quite sure what to expect. We listened carefully before getting our harnesses on.  The instructor checked we were all safely buckled up and ready to go. Hmm...some slightly worried looks.  Here we go. Who's brave enough to go first? The bridge over the River Wye is 80 feet high and the first challenge is to climb over the railings.  We did it!  Now we can relax.
