Tuesday 9th June

Good morning my lovely giraffes, how is everyone? 

I hope you all had a fantastic Monday and are continuing to work hard. We had a lovely day in school yesterday and spent the afternoon playing Tennis on the field.  

We have already had a little furry visitor this morning, the little cat who seems to have adopted us. It has caused much excitement with us all having cuddles this morning. 

TT Rockstars at 10am, hope to see you there. Did anybody do their Guinness World Record challenge? 

Today I would like to know what you are currently reading, send me a picture of you with your latest book for a lovely video I am going to put together.

      Hi Maisie, Brownie is fine we had lots of cuddles and he stayed until playtime which was fun. I am fine thank you says Indigo, how are you?

After tea, we finished making our beds and got ready for our final activity: the night walk.  We had a stop near Dethick Church. Finding out about the history of this ancient building.  Spotting wild flowers. Which way do we need to go?  Weve done it! One action- packed day complete.  We've walked 17000 steps today. Hopefully, this means we will all sleep well tonight...

Team swing

 Having spent the morning underground, we avoided the worst of the weather and most of the group were reasonably dry as we headed back to the centre.  After lunch we were lucky that the rain wasn't too heavy and we go t kitted out for the team swing. We had seen this in action yesterday, so we had a good idea what to expect.  Some of us were excited by this; others, not so much! Teamwork We needed the trolley to get the 2 people into position. Everyone had to pull the rope to hoist up the swing.  We were really good at this, so we had time for 2 goes each.  After 2 goes, out came the trolley again to swap over to the next pair. Here we are before and during our swing. Zooming in on the action... I think you could say there was a mixed reaction! Everyone pushed themselves to their limit ... and then a bit more.  A great activity.

High ropes

 After lunch we got harnesses and helmets on, ready for the high ropes. Some of the children were really looking forward to this activity; others were not! We were in four teams of four and we had to work together to make sure our climbing team-mate was safe.
