The arrival

 A suitcase appeared in the classroom today. It was very strange. There was no note, or indication who it might belong to, so it sparked a lot of discussion.



We decided to have a look inside...



 There were 3 clues.

There was a hat and an origami bird.


There was also a parcel.


We opened it...



Inside, there was a family photo. There was a man, a woman and a child.


Will they come back to claim their belongings?

Team swing

 Having spent the morning underground, we avoided the worst of the weather and most of the group were reasonably dry as we headed back to the centre.  After lunch we were lucky that the rain wasn't too heavy and we go t kitted out for the team swing. We had seen this in action yesterday, so we had a good idea what to expect.  Some of us were excited by this; others, not so much! Teamwork We needed the trolley to get the 2 people into position. Everyone had to pull the rope to hoist up the swing.  We were really good at this, so we had time for 2 goes each.  After 2 goes, out came the trolley again to swap over to the next pair. Here we are before and during our swing. Zooming in on the action... I think you could say there was a mixed reaction! Everyone pushed themselves to their limit ... and then a bit more.  A great activity.

Night walk

After tea, we finished making our beds and got ready for our final activity: the night walk.  We had a stop near Dethick Church. Finding out about the history of this ancient building.  Spotting wild flowers. Which way do we need to go?  Weve done it! One action- packed day complete.  We've walked 17000 steps today. Hopefully, this means we will all sleep well tonight...

High ropes

 After lunch we got harnesses and helmets on, ready for the high ropes. Some of the children were really looking forward to this activity; others were not! We were in four teams of four and we had to work together to make sure our climbing team-mate was safe.
