Africa in the present

 In Giraffes, we started our Maafa topic by learning a bit about Africa in the present. Each group researched a different country in Africa and created Canva presentations about their findings, finally sharing their learning with the rest of the class.

Here we go !  We arrived safely and met our course leader, Ben, who will be with us for the 3 days.  The first activity was orienteering, which was a good chance to explore the grounds while looking  for the markers.  We were all hungry and ready for lunch after all that running around.
