Let’s dance
Winster Morris dancers visited school today and taught us the Taddington Morris dance.
We learned to do corners, side by side, ends change, middles change and all in.
They have 2 handkerchiefs made of cotton to wave while they were doing the dance. They also wear hats and bells.
We also learned a little of the history of the Morris dance. 100 years ago this tune was called pudding in a lantern. It was all about having fun.
This is it and that is it and this is Morris dancing.
A roasted pig and and a cuddled duck and a pudding in a lantern.
